For the average Hungarian viewer, China is still a backward place where cheap shoes and clothes of poor quality are manufactured. Our film presents the explosive development seen in China in the cities of Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Beijing. In Shanghai, we explore the ordeals of Hungarian entrepreneurs; in Shenzhen, the emergence of a new city is presented, focusing primarily on architecture and the life of the youth; then, the special intermediary role of Hong Kong between the East and the West is addressed, as well as how it is able to revive from time to time; while in Beijing, we tour the venues of the new alternative Chinese culture that now represents a global trend.
