Metaforum Film Studio has been been making award-winning documentaries since 2004. The Studio’s main profile is creative social documentary film-making. The Studio’s members include some of Hungary’s leading sociologists who have crossed over into filmmaking, as well as filmmakers who are committed to social issues. The members have a wide range of experience and a long list of references in their field of expertise. The Studio produced a wide range of high-quality work including documentary films, a documentary series (Chinese express), two public service and commercial media campaigns, video clips, tv-spots and short films.
The Studio’s works have been broadcast on several national tv channels, screened at national and international festivals as well as released on DVD and via on-line streaming. The major directors of the Studio are: Zsuzsanna Gellér-Varga, Bori Kriza, Gábor Péter Németh, Gyula Kormos, Danila Kostil and Balázs Wizner, the founder and leading producer of the Studio.

Sociologist, writer, composer, the chief producer of Metaforum Film. He worked as a sociologist in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 2004 he established Metaforum Film Studio, which has quickly become the basis of young Hungarian directors dealing with social problems. Besides his work as a producer, he is also involved in the creative side of film making as a director, editor and (being qualified musician) as a composer.
